Ambrose Udoji. From Nnewi Catholic Diocese of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Anambra State, Nigeria. From a family of six and traditionally Catholic. Developed interest in the priesthood as an altar boy at about the age of eight and eventually became a Roman Catholic priest on July 15, 1995.

Fr. Marco was born and raised in East Los Angeles, California.  A graduate of Salesian High School in Boyle Heights, CA. Fr. Marco graduated from UCLA, class of 1975, GO BRUINS!!
Fr. Marco attended St. John’s Seminary, in Camarillo, CA.  He was ordained a priest in 1985.

In 2012, Fr. Marco was granted permission by Archbishop Gomez to serve the spiritual needs of our military personnel in the armed services, and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.  Upon completion of training, Fr. Marco was assigned as a chaplain to the Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.  Deployed to Afghanistan with the 2nd Marine Logistics Group, he ministered to the Marines, sailors and soldiers at Camp Leatherneck and the surrounding bases.

Upon receiving an honorable discharge in 2015, he was assigned to St. Kateri Tekakwitha in Santa Clarita and St. Agnes in Los Angeles.

While residing here at St. Linus, he will serve as the new priest chaplain at both St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs and St. Joseph High School in Lakewood.

On a more personal note, Fr. Marco enjoys exercising and a daily workout.

While Fr. Marco will be spending most of his time at St. Paul High School, he will also celebrate Sunday masses here at St. Linus.
